KITT and KARR fron Knight Rider:

The Dukes of Hazzard General Lee. This is the “Georgia Lee” version which originally featured miniature Confederate and checkered flags behind the rear windscreen and trunk lid area.

Herbie The Love Bug:

UPDATE - 10-05-14
Martin Schanche (Mister Rallycross) Ford RS200:

UPDATE - 10-10-14
Replica livery based off of Bruno Von Stickle’s Lazer 917 GT coupe from Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo on the 1967 Ferrari 330 P4. The original movie car was a Porsche 917. Since it is a mere re-creation of the paint job on a different car, I took some creative liberties where necessary, such as on the rear bumper area. Originally I just had the entire rear end completely yellow, but found that somewhat un-attractive. This livery was a nightmare to get right only because of some of the ludicrous mapping on this car. However, I feel that perseverance paid off. If nothing else, it looks cool.

UPDATE - 01-21-15
Updated Livery of Herbie The Love Bug. Fixed issues with the circle surrounding the number 53, and the number 53 itself.

UPDATE - 01-24-15
Replica livery of Mike Hawthorn’s 1955 Le Mans winning Jaguar D-Type.

UPDATE - 05-02-15
Replica livery of Peter Thorndyke’s “ThorndykeSpecial” from The Love Bug painted on the 1961 Jaguar E-Type. The original movie car was an Apollo 3500 GT. Since it is a mere re-creation of the paint job on a different car, I took some creative liberties where necessary. There are two versions of this livery available: The first one is of the “Showroom Version” WITHOUT the numbers on the car, and the “El Dorado” version WITH the numbers on the car.

Thank you for the kind words.

Original Post has been updated featuring a new livery for the Ford RS200 of Martin Schanche (Mister Rallycross).

Found a mistake in your Ford RS200 design: “SACHS Kupplugen”. Missing a “n” = “Kupplungen”.

Good eye. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

The corrected livery is available in the storefront. Please download the new version. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Awesome designs! I too will give the General a download. Although two minor tweaks I would do - add the proper license plate (doesn’t look like it from the pic). Not sure on the state (Georgia maybe?), but I know the plate is CNH-320. And I would like to see a non-Georgia Lee one. For some reason the checkered flag and Confederate flag are distracting when driving. Call me crazy. Good work though man, this is always a must have paint in each racing game.

Thank you RagingRoach67! About General Lee: I had attempted in the past to place an accurate plate on the rear end. However, the vinyl disappears or is obscured by the rear bumper. I didn’t want to attempt squashing a plate back there beneath the bumper, so I just left it off. About the miniature flags: I guess I could create a version without them. However, I’ve seen numerous Lee replicas without the flags. Being a fan of the original Lee graphics I pursued replicating “Georgia Lee”.

Also, the original post has been update with my latest replica livery: Bruno Von Stickle’s Laser 917 GT coupe from Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo replicated on the 1967 Ferrari 330 P4!

No worries man, at the end of the day you are the artist and you gotta do what you enjoy. It still looks awesome and I applaud your work!

Really like this livery as well. Gives me a speed racer sorta vibe. Haven’t seen the original car to compare against, but I think you did great work on adapting it to this car. Love the color scheme!

Hello everyone. My latest work is actually a redo of my Herbie replica livery.

Herbie The Love Bug - Livery Update (Video)

This is a short, quick video highlighting the major change to the livery: the circle surrounding the number 53, and the number 53 itself.

I was never happy with the original “finished” product. The circle looked oblong. Looking at the car in the actual game world saw undesired effects due to the mapping, and the rendering of the car.

The major difficulty and dissatisfaction is of the rendering of the vinyls on the car in the different modes of the game.

The vinyls render almost correctly in the My Cars/View Car mode, Photo Mode, etc., while appearing out of place when looking at the car in the actual game world, or in replays.

Thus, my goal was to not only make the circle around the numbers look more like an actual circle, but to also make the rendering of the circle and the numbers line up, so they would appear in place with one another, overcoming the rendering issue.

After five days of painstakingly attempting to make the circle and numbers near pixel perfect, and lots of trial and error, I can proudly say that I’m quite happy with the result.

The vinyls on the front of the car should now appear desirably in all game modes.

Modes in the video in appearing order:
My Cars/View Car
The Game World
Photo Mode (In the Game World)
Car Meet

I will try to replicate the fixes of this livery in Forza Motorsport 6.
