108 MB Update? (10/02/2016)

I’ve just booted up Forza 6 for tonight and am prompted with an update (108 MB). As I play daily and wasn’t prompted recently this update must have been pushed out today.

Has anyone heard what the update may contain or of any fixes that it may have applied?

Nope, loaded my FM6 because I saw this post. I have no clue what it entails. Maybe the Alpinestars Car Pack was a mistake

The last small update of this size fixed the Chinese characters and the one before that added Dom’s Charger. Time to check the car list again.

Ummmm…it did? Not seeing it in my game.

“the one before that” = the previous small content update off-schedule. Adding a car to the game means adding it to the Photo Mode, Multiplayer restriction, and livery model filter search menus so it shows up for everyone if they have the DLC. In the case of monthly DLC the cars show up in the Buy Car menu to enable players to purchase the DLC from within the game. In the case of promotional DLC like Dom’s Charger the model will only show up in the Buy Car menu if you’ve redeemed the relevant code (not available on the Store).

That’s just like the last update, silent with no info.

In the past few days, a ton of support threads were opened up, as well as complaint threads here. Perhaps they’re addressing the concerns in those threads since many were closed with a “Thank You for your feedback” reply.

There were also lots of suggestions for new leagues and hoppers this week, so maybe they’re prepping for that?

Hi guys,

Today’s content update addresses performance issues with the 2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona Prototype from the Alpinestars Car Pack that I mentioned in the Jan. 29 edition of the Week in Review:

Thanks,
Brian

Lol, looks like this debunks my prediction, but was this really necessary?

The car was fundamentally broken, therefore yes.

Thanks for the headsup but 108 MB to fix the stats on a single car? Seems a lot.

Not just stats.

They probably just replaced the car.

Appreciate the heads up on what the fix was Brian, thank you.

No offense, but with all the problems people are experiencing with this game, that’s what T10 decides to patch…the DLC?

That’s the nonsense I’m talking about with T10… they only come on here to talk DLC and fix the extra paid-for-content, while they ignore the base game’s issues.

What next? A patch for a unicorn only a handful of people will have? Forget the base game that millions of people purchased, though.

I’m guessing you didn’t get the game at launch and didn’t know all the core game fixes that did occur. Let’s not forget the drivetrain swap diff glitch or the invisible wall if you used the curb off turn 2 at lime rock that were fixed among numerous other fixes.

If you don’t believe me, review the previous patch notes and since locked discussions in the support thread.

I’m not saying everything is fixed nor is the game where it should be, but some progress has been made.

Didnt you say in a previous thread you where done with this game.Yet here you are on the forums always preaching about how the game is broken and isnt to your liking??
You remind me of a creepy ex stalker
Saying you hate your partner but still trying to get a glimpse through a window…

Dude, do you ever say anything positive.myes I’ve ‘read’ many of your posts on just about every thread, but ‘overall’ your posts are Prodomitaly negative. If you hate the game and a Turn 10’s every effort, then why frequent a forum where ‘you’ll know you’ll be disappointed’…???

Just asking politely btw, it’s a simple question.

Turn 10 are constantly working on a huge assortment of minor and major issues. We a
L know this.

And when they get one finished, they update it. Not based on the enthuses ‘concerned need’, but based on the simple fact that one is finished before another. It’d rather have then update items as they come about, than wait girl a mass of them bring included at once, which, as a one knows in the computer world, can cause major conflicts as each becomes active.

By feeding the system with constant, smaller and properly tweaked updates, they allow the team to monitor any ossicle conflicts, rectify them accordingly.

I’d certainly be happier if the huge issues with the idiots on the various lobbies were fixed first. But knowing that that’s not an easy fix, I can understand the frustration it causes, but also understand the need to take the time in order to fix them properly.

Is the game broken beyond being playable, most definitely ‘nit’. There’s simply hours and hours of gameplay in the career mode alone. I’ve put in goose yo 150hiurs thus far, and still have nightmares ‘finished’ the game ‘completely’…

Like others have said before, lighten up mate, you’ll catch more flies with honey than vinegar lol! Hehehe

So chill a little, try having some fun with the game, step aside from the online mayhem got a little while, bump yourself up to ‘unbeatable’ and test yourself in some of the harder enduros without causing damage yo others.

That’ll certainly entertain you for several great hours, it definitely does it got me, that’s for sure. Have a happy gaming day mate, and be happy… :sunglasses:

The Daytona prototype has gone from PI 906 to 922.
It’s embarrassing how few places I can get up the leaderboard with it in that rivals event. Almost everybody’s time is still with 906
