It is essentially a first-generation Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero built under license for the Korean market. It was launched in September 1991 and updated in 1994. Early models featured a 2.5L diesel and a 3.0L V6 gasoline engine. The 1994 update, called New Galloper, features a 2.5L diesel intercooler variant in addition to the non-intercooler diesel one and the 3.0L V6 petrol variants.
