The Lotec C1000 was a one-off created for an Emirati oil baron. The car reportedly cost over 3 million $, and was powered by a Mercedes-Benz V8 with two turbochargers, giving it a nice, round 1000 PS. In 1995, almost 10 years before the Bugatti Veyron surpassed that figure by 1 PS… The Veyron later became the fastest car in the world, but only its later, more powerful Super Sport version surpassed the reported 430 km/h top speed of the C1000. That’s no surprise, considering the Lotec has as much power as the Veyron, but weighs much less, only about 1300 kg thanks to a full carbon fiber chassis. Again, in 1995… The car came up for sale in the USA about 20 years later, and also appeared in an in-depth video 10 years ago: 1995 Lotec C1000 Start Up, Exhaust, In Depth Tour and Test Drive (Video # 1000) - YouTube

This car was apparently procured by Curated, a Miami-based high-end performance delearship with strong ties to VINWiki, in March of this year. So, it’s still alive, kicking, and itching to be scanned to be immortalized.
