This topic includes both 5-door and 3-door (HPE) body styles.
Early Versions came primarily as a 5-Door while later Version came as a 3-Door. Revisions happened in 1996 and 1997 and mainly centred around cosmetic changes and a few engine option differences, notable the 1996 generation removed the previous top 2.0L I4 Turbo and replaced it with a 1.8L I4 Turbo instead.
Early Models had a Single Turbo 2.0L I4 with 16 Valves producing 183hp (137kw) and 290N.m of torque (213lb-ft) while Later Models pumped this up to 190hp (142kw).
The Car was FWD with a 5-Speed Manual and had an approximate weight of 1330kg (2932lbs) giving it a fairly decent P/W.
